Though tighter and more together than their self-titled debut EP, I don't know if it's as exciting and vital sounding. Here, the riffs are more angular, the vocals are more buried in the mix and the guitars are generally more adventurous. It borders on Albini-esque noise rock but never quite goes over the edge. It sounds too clean though! Too sharp! Honestly, this record seemed a little bit derivative of every other post-hardcore band. It sounded bland, opposed to the self-titled EP which sounded vital and exciting. It's like here they've been surpassed by everyone else. The music is actually pretty interesting, but the vocals are drab. That's really all I have to say about this record.
